China News Service reporter learnt from Guangdong provincial State Land Resources Department that China had put into operation since December 21, 2015 its Beidou High Precision Navigation and Positioning Services System into operation.

According to the report, the system has merged China’s Beidou, US GPS, Russian GLONASS to provide centimeter-grade and millimeter-grade positioning services for geographical information industry while providing meter-grade navigation and positioning services for the general public.

The system was checked and accepted by well-known geodesist Ning Jinsheng. According to Ning, the system is a brand new project with entire Chinese innovation and intellectual property.

This blogger believes that such precision services have developed first of all for the military.
